Capsule Tube
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Capsule Tube handles the information used to turn YouTube videos into summaries, answers, and saved insights.
What you submit
When you paste a YouTube URL, Capsule Tube uses that URL to fetch video information and transcript text so it can create a Capsule Brief. Ask the Video questions are used to answer your question against the transcript context.
AI processing
When AI features are enabled, transcript text, video metadata, and your Ask the Video questions may be sent to OpenAI to generate summaries and answers. Capsule Tube does not use this data for advertising.
Saved capsules
Saved capsules are stored in Supabase and linked to your account. This can include the video title, video ID, generated summary data, key insights, and saved date.
Accounts and payments
Capsule Tube uses email and password authentication for accounts. If you subscribe, payment and billing details are handled by Stripe. We store subscription status and Stripe customer identifiers so Premium access can be applied to your account.
Advertising
We do not sell your submitted YouTube URLs, questions, transcripts, saved capsules, or account details for advertising use.
